Photos by Claire Dam. Claire is mostly self-taught, though her formal education was as a certified midwife, which often influences her photographic work with women and children. Artist Statement

Claire Dam creates raw, vulnerable imagery that celebrates women and their journeys with fertility, transformation and grief.  Utilizing photography as a way to make sense of the traumas in her own life, Claire’s deeply introspective and authentic work builds connection with women, normalizing female experiences and roles that traditionally remain hidden.
